LeeAnn Jemmott’s late husband was born in The Bronx, New York City. This was how he gained his Big Bronx nickname. Although his fame had been spreading across the United States and beyond before he passed, he was very popular and influential in New York.
To honor his legacy, a street in New York City has been renamed after the rapper in February 2021. Fred the Godson was raised in Leggett Avenue located in the Bronx which has now been renamed to Frederick ‘Fred the Godson’ Thomas Avenue.
